The Kansas Hispanic Education and Development Foundation has received a $50,000 challenge grant. It must raise $50,000 to access the grant.

The challenge grant was given anonymously.

The four-year-old group is trying to raise money for scholarships for promising Hispanic high school students in order to boost leadership in that community. It has also collaborated with similar efforts in the black community.
