Sheriff’s officers, police to crack down on 21st Street traffic today

Several law enforcement agencies are working together to perform a 24-hour crackdown on traffic violations on 21st Street through Sedgwick County.

The Project Impact assignment began at 7 a.m. today and will continue through 7 a.m. Thursday, authorities said. Law enforcement officers from the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office, the Kansas Highway Patrol and the Wichita and Andover police departments are participating in the special assignment.

Kellogg and Rock Road are among the other major traffic routes that have been targeted by Project Impact efforts in recent months.
