Malfunctioning railroad crossing arms stalled the morning commute for drivers in the area of K-15 and MacArthur Road this morning.

The arms guarding the Burlington Northern line came down at K-15 and MacArthur shortly after 6:45 a.m. even though no train was approaching, authorities said. Traffic backed up for more than a mile.

The crossing arms remained down for more than an hour before being repaired shortly after 8 a.m.
