Dear Airbus: I look forward to you moving in across the street so we can play together all the time. Sincerely, Spirit AeroSystems.
The only jobs left are the ones that cannot be outsourced, at least currently. The large businesses that remain extort money from towns, threatening to leave unless they receive millions in tax breaks. This leaves just the taxpaying citizens and small businesses to pay for everything.
Mitt Romney said he doesn’t get much from his speaking fees. Does anyone else think $375,000 a year isn’t much?
Is it asking too much to ask for a president with at least a working knowledge of domestic and foreign economies in place of the present White House occupant, who can only confine his expertise to political campaign speeches?
We’ve tried three years of attacking and bashing capitalism and look where we are. Maybe someone in the White House who doesn’t hate our system would work better.

Who is suffering so that Gov. Sam Brownback could have a budget surplus?

If the “personhood” fanatics achieve their goal of establishing the moment of conception as the true beginning of a life, they will raise many questions: When should the baby’s birthday be celebrated? Can a baby conceived last year be considered a dependent on this year’s tax form? How will this affect the baby’s future driving, voting and drinking ages?
If you don’t want to vaccinate your children, do not send them to public school.
Parents’ “personal belief” system in not vaccinating their children does not trump my personal or my children’s health. If you don’t vaccinate them, keep them at home and in the house.
Why did I see a street sweeper working in the dark on North Oliver? Why do we even need a street sweeper? Spend that money fixing potholes or hiring more police officers.
Some of the most selfish people I know are drivers on I-135 and Kellogg.
