I have no objection to parents not having their school-age children vaccinated if they so desire, as long as their children don’t go to the same school as my grandkids.

My greatest thanks go out to the staff of USD 206 for ensuring the safety of all the Remington Middle School students during the evacuation that occurred on Thursday after a threat to the building. It is reassuring to know without a doubt that my child is safe while in your care.

We’re paying the police $20-$30 an hour to write out $10 seat-belt tickets. Makes perfect sense.

During the 1970s, our then-City Commission authorized urban renewal to hold a gun against the head of downtown Wichita and pull the trigger so two big banks could grab land for expansion. Today’s attempts at redevelopment are destined to fail, because you cannot bring the dead back to life.

I hope Kris Kobach checked the long-form birth certificate of Mitt Romney before endorsing him for president.

My neighbors and I own a corporation. The left considers us, like unborn children, to be nonpersons, with no rights.

Am I the only one who thinks President Obama’s press secretary, Jay Carney, looks like little Opie Taylor trying to explain to Andy why he ruined Aunt Bee’s favorite rose?

We are out of money, yet Obama wants to raise the salaries of federal employees. They already have better wages and benefits than many in the private sector, all at taxpayer expense. We must live within our means.

It’s amazing to see the evangelicals defending Newt Gingrich. They wanted to impeach Bill Clinton for having an affair. What would their reaction be if Barack Obama had told his wife he wanted an open marriage? Is Christian forgiveness only for right-wing Republicans?

How does a reader know Michelle Obama’s shoes cost $500, and what difference does it make what her shoes cost? She should wear whatever she wants, just like the rest of us.

The Bible doesn’t say government shall care for the poor. That directive is aimed at the individual instead. Therefore, government spending cuts that affect the poor, the sick or schools are not sinful or even un-Christian.

I want all you good Christians to go to church Sunday and pray for me to have good luck when I go to the casino Monday.
