Few things taste better during a cold, dreary January than comfort food -- that butter-laden, stick-to-your-ribs stuff that mom used to make. This week, we'll share recipes for some comfort food favorites. Today's is published on epicurious.com but originally came from the Amy Sedaris cookbook "I Like You: Hospitality Under the Influence."

INGREDIENTS

1 1/2 lbs of beef
3 tablespoons Parmesan cheese
2 eggs
Parsley
Salt and pepper
Worcestershire sauce
1 onion, chopped
1 garlic clove, crushed
Mix about 2 cups of bread crumbs with 3/4 cups of milk
Ketchup
Slices of red onion (keep intact so they are large disks)
Red wine, eyeball it, about 1/2 cup (optional)
