Airbus doesn’t look so bad after all, does it, Wichita?
I wish Gov. Sam Brownback were as wise as FDR, who said, “The test of our progress is not whether we add more to the abundance of those who have much; it is whether we provide enough for those who have too little.”
The United States now owes more money than its gross national product is worth, and editorial cartoonist Richard Crowson is worried about the first lady’s hair and the Republican in Topeka. As long as it is a Republican, Crowson jumps. I am waiting for a cartoon about John Edwards.
It is sad that a joke can’t be a joke for humor’s sake. The e-mail showing Michelle Obama’s hair blowing in the wind did look like the Grinch’s. Lighten up out there.
The public has the right to know the name of the cellphone carrier providing exclusive services to Brownback, Pat Robertson, Tim Tebow and a handful of the chosen ones. We all have the right to switch to the carrier who can provide the direct line and access to the Almighty.
Some sportswriters are criticizing Tebow’s “sorry performance” against the Patriots. Wrong. The loss was due to the Denver offensive and defensive lines’ sorry performance, not Tebow’s.
I can’t wait for the day when Tebow does a “Hail Mary.”
Thank goodness God is a Tim Tebow fan, or who knows how badly the New England Patriots would have beaten the Denver Broncos?
Thank you to Bob Love for the excellent letter in defense of capitalism (Jan. 13 Letters to the Editor). History has proved that capitalism delivers a higher standard of living for everyone than any other system of government. Even the Chinese figured it out.
When you choose to have children, you and not the government are responsible for their care. That is true whether they have mental or physical disabilities, cancer, etc.
WSU men’s basketball needs to do away with the gray uniforms and bring back the black. The school colors are yellow and black. Go, Shocks.
I’m at a loss. Why in the world would anyone vote for more of this tearing down of the economy and our country in general by these radical leftists?
Ever notice that the people who start wars have never been in one? Anyone who promotes war should be required to send his sons and daughters.
There should be a new system to voting. Anyone running for any kind of office should have to be listed as independent, so people don’t just vote Republican or Democrat but actually listen and pay attention to each campaign so they can make an educated vote.
If Sumner County wanted the casino so badly, how come we only see winners from Sedgwick County in The Eagle?
The ideas of tighter border restrictions with Canada and violence on the Mexican border are starting to make me feel claustrophobic.
To all you saggers: Pull up your pants. You look ridiculous. Just what are you trying to prove anyway?
Deadbeat dads: There is a professional job fair today at the Wichita Marriott. Your kids’ future does depend on you, too. Show you really care and love them and show them responsibility.
