Just so you know, the Rev. Martin Luther King Jr. was a registered Republican, and the Republican Party pushed the civil rights legislation through Congress. I’m tired of the Democrats and the media trying to label Republicans as racist. It’s simply not true.

Now I know. My faith has been restored. All my doubts have been removed. God indeed exists. He’s up in Topeka, alive and well, and working as policy adviser to Sam Brownback.

I think you could rightly call Brownback’s tax plan “The Audacity of Hope ... on Steroids.” The hope is that giving wealthy business owners more tax breaks will lead to immediate job creation. Will there be enough new jobs for all the teachers and government workers who will lose jobs from lack of state funding?

Pretty soon the Air Capital will only be suitable for a pigeon roost.

When will you people realize that union jobs set the standard for every job in the country?

Funny, I’ve been thinking for years and years that everyone already was required to have photo identification.

Grandfather clause, poll tax, literacy test and now photo ID – all just ways to take away the rights of people the ruling party doesn’t want to vote.

“Hello, Congress? This is the president. Please approve $1.2 trillion. No, I’m not going to tell you for what.”

I think it was really nice of John McCain to endorse Barack Obama for president.

Mitt Romney is a job cremator. Ron Paul is a John McCain clown. The rest are insignificant – except for Newt Gingrich, who is the only candidate who’s been qualified for the office of president in the past 40 years. That, of course, includes the liberal, socialist puppet who’s in office now.

Stop complaining about people not returning their carts to the stalls. Stores pay people to do that.

Didn’t Jesus say we should pray in a closet? Praying in public on bended knee in front of all your fans seems ostentatious to me. I think that’s why Tim Tebow gets some criticism. What’s wrong with a quiet silent prayer while sitting on the bench? Anyway, does God really care that much about a ballgame?

Most Christian liberals also find Tim Tebow inspirational. Yes, it’s possible to be both liberal and Christian. Too bad some right-wing zealots think they have exclusive rights to Jesus.

The most fascinating aspect of the Tebow phenomenon is the outing of the Christophobes.

Remember when being a celebrity meant talent was a main requirement?

Via Christi’s marketing department must be from outer space. It is not Via Christi on East Harry. It is St. Joseph’s Hospital and always will be. Repeat after me: St. Francis Hospital, St. Joseph’s Hospital, St. Teresa Hospital, etc.

The opening of the Kansas Star Casino ended the Wichita wildebeests’ migration to the Oklahoma casinos. Arkansas City patrol officers can now relax and let the Mulvane officers make some easy money from Sedgwick County speedsters.

As I age, I’m turning from human to feline, based on the amount of naps I take per day. The naps do help recharge my batteries against all the political fighting.
