Three residents of Schuyler, Neb., were killed and four others were injured Saturday in a one-vehicle crash on I-135 four miles north of McPherson.
The Kansas Highway Patrol identified the dead as Martha Q. Medina, 45, Adrian M. Quezada, 36, and Daisy Medina Quezada, 10.
Investigators said the accident occurred at 11:10 a.m. when a southbound SUV left the road and overturned several times, ejecting five of the seven occupants.
The driver, Luis Medina, 48, told investigators that he may have fallen asleep before the vehicle left the roadway.
