The future? Kansas State and Missouri met for the 234th time in history on Saturday, a series that dates to Feb. 7, 1907. That series could soon be coming to an end with Missouris move to the SEC, and Kansas State coach Frank Martin was asked whether he'd be interested in playing a non-conference game against Missouri at Bramlage in the future.
I dont know, he said.
Martin said it was always a possibility before adding that hed thought little about future schedules. The Wildcats schedule for next season is nearly complete.
Worth noting
K-State recorded its 1,500th victory in program history during Saturdays win against Missouri. The Wildcats, who are 1,500-1098, have 107 victories during Frank Martins four-plus seasons. And the latest win was Martins sixth against a top-10 team. . . . Missouri finished the first half with five field goals, including four from Marcus Denmon. The rest of the Tigers were a combined 1 for 15 from the field. . . . The Wildcats have won eight straight against Missouri at Bramlage Coliseum by an average of 16.3 points per game.
