Julie Feigeles, director of marketing and business development, Towne East Square
Feigeles felt right at home when she started her job at the mall last month.
"This is a property I watched being built as a child," she said. "I watched it go up, and it’s definitely my mall of choice."
Feigeles, 45, grew up in Wichita and graduated from Southeast High School before obtaining a degree in journalism advertising from the University of Kansas.
She joined the Simon Property Group, which owns the mall, and worked in marketing at several of its properties in Arkansas and Texas before becoming a regional marketing director based in the Dallas area.
Feigeles and her husband, Kenny, moved back to Wichita to raise their two children, Jacob, 14, and Allie, 11. Feigeles worked as a homemaker and then in several capacities with the Wichita school district before rejoining Simon in December.
As marketing director, Feigeles will develop the overall strategic marketing direction of the shopping center, supervise customer service, sponsorships and business development, and maintain tenant and community relations.
She said she’s particularly interested in the mall’s education resource center and the Simon Youth Foundation, which funds scholarships.
"I’m really looking forward to continuing that relationship with the school district," she said.
