Cary Marks and his grandson, Brandon Blehm, share a passion for Vintage Burgundy '66 Mustangs. Marks let his go 15 years ago, but was able to buy it back last April and says this time it's his for good.

The first time Marks owned his Mustang, he upgraded it with a 4-speed transmission, air conditioning, a center console and the Rally Pac gauges on the steering column. When he got the car back last spring, it was all still intact.

Even the built-up diecast models aren't off-limits to Marks' considerable customizing skills. This old Ford pickup got the `rat rod' treatment, including flat black primer paint and an Indian blanket seat cover.

With a little over 58,000 actual miles on its odometer, Marks' 1966 Mustang coupe still has its original upholstery, which is in remarkable condition.

A quick tune-up of the 289 V-8 was all that was needed under the hood after Marks bought the Mustang back. He plans to clean and detail the engine, but otherwise keep it as it is.

Brandon Blehm's Mustang doesn't pack quite as much punch as Grandpa's car, but the 18-year-old car afficionado has no plans to swap out the dependable 200 cubic-inch 6-cylinder, preferring to keep his car as original as possible.
