KEY PLAY: Will Spradling tossed a lengthy pass from his knees to a streaking Rodney McGruder, who took the ball and dunked it to give K-State a 4-0 lead.

Second Half
KEY PLAY: Martavious Irving found Will Spradling for an open three in the corner with 18.8 seconds remaining, and Spradling made it to put K-State ahead by two.
KEY STAT: Jamar Samuels scored 10 points and grabbed four rebounds after the first half.
On the sideline
Shane Southwell and James Watson both watched Sunday's game from the bench in street clothes. Southwell was out with the stomach flu, and Watson was suffering from a tweaked knee.
Brotherhood
Kansas States Adrian Diaz faced off against his brother, North Floridas Andy Diaz, on Sunday. At times Adrian, a freshman forward was asked to guard his older brother, and performed well. He scored eight points and Andy scored seven. Andy said he hadnt seen his brother recently, and it was good to go against him. But . . . It would have been nice to be able to beat him, though, Andy said. We werent able to do that.
Worth noting
Frank Martin said he will head to ESPN today and conduct several interviews with the sports network in Bristol, Conn. . . . The Wildcats will take some time off this week to study and take finals before preparing for their next game against Alabama. . . . K-State has won 38 consecutive nonconference home games. . . . K-State has played in back-to-back overtime games. It lost to West Virginia 85-80 in double overtime on Thursday in Wichita.
