WICHITA — The Wichita Public Library began offering e-books today.
The library started its service, provided by OverDrive, as the State Library of Kansas’ audiobook and e-book service from that same company ceased operation.
Library card holders can check out and download digital media online.Books may be immediately read or transferred to devices including the Amazon Kindle, iPad, iPhone, Motorola Droid and Blackberry Curve.
Audiobooks are not available directly from the Wichita Public Library’s e-book site, but they may be downloaded through the Kansas EZ Library at the State Library of Kansas with a free Kansas Library Card. Kansas Library Cards are available at any Wichita library location.
