Hutchinson Community College won the Salt City Bowl for the third consecutive season, beating Lackawanna College 70-20 on Saturday afternoon in Hutchinson.
Hutchinson, ranked No. 14 in the NJCAA poll, finished its season 10-2, with both losses coming against Butler.
Elliott Alford threw three first-half touchdown passes and the Blue Dragons returned a pair of interceptions for touchdowns on the way to a 42-7 halftime lead.
Alford finished with five TD passes — three of the to Cordarelle Patterson — the final one coming midway through the fourth quarter to put Hutch ahead 70-13. Patterson caught eight passes for 118 yards.
Hutchinson outgained No. 19 Lackawanna 464-286, and forced three turnovers while committing one.
