The Thunder's greatest players: No. 19 Jeff Leiter

Before the start of the Thunder's 20th anniversary season, The Eagle asked fans to vote on the franchise's 20 greatest players. We'll introduce one per week through the regular season.

No. 19: Jeff Leiter

One of the most popular players in team history, Jeff Leiter was a ferocious hitter, earning the Thunder's Glass Rattler of the Year honors for the 2000-01 and 2001-02 seasons. Known as "Heavy," he didn't score much — 82 points in 232 games — but he was always a respected player because he never hesitated to stick up for a teammate. While he wasn't the best fighter, he willingly took on the CHL heavyweights when necessary, as evidenced by his 1,003 penalty minutes — third most in team history.

What are your memories of Leiter? Should he have been higher?
