Roasting one's Thanksgiving turkey is always a safe bet. But several other brave cooks out there have come up with alternative ways to prepare the Thanksgiving bird that could be worth a try, for variety's sake. This week, we'll share a few alternative turkey cooking recipes, starting with today's, which calls for basting with Dr Pepper. It comes from CD Kitchen.
INGREDIENTS
7 lb turkey
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1 cup onions, chopped
1 cup celery, chopped
1 cup parsley, chopped
6 cups bread cubes, 1/2 inch size
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon thyme
1 egg, slightly beaten
1/2 cup Dr Pepper, plus
10 ounces Dr Pepper for basting
