The award-winning documentary “The Miracle of Father Kapaun” will air on Veterans Day on EWTN.

The documentary, by Eagle photographer Travis Heying, explores the life of Father Emil Kapaun. A priest from Pilsen, Kapaun was an Army chaplain during the Korean War. He allowed himself to be captured so he could care for sick and wounded POWs. Top military officials have recommended him for the Medal of Honor. The Catholic Church also is investigating Kapaun for possible sainthood.

The documentary will air at 4:30 p.m. Friday on EWTN, a global Catholic network.
