Contact info for Sedgwick Co. boards is online

  • Published Monday, Oct. 24, 2011, at 12:09 a.m.

Each Monday, The Eagle highlights a government record that is available to the public. Open records help citizens keep government in check and help them better understand how government affects their lives.

For a complete list of You Oughta Know columns, go to www.kansas.com/oughta.

The record: A list of Sedgwick County advisory boards, what they do and a contact name and number.

Why you'd want them: To learn who to contact if you have an interest or concern about a particular topic. Boards range from the advisory council on aging to the zoning appeals board. There are more than two dozen advisory boards.

Where you get the records: From the county's website, http://sedgwickcounty.org/communications/advisory_boards.asp.

How much it will cost: The information is free.
