SquareOne, a new band assembled by Bill Landrum that consists of several alumni of popular band Lotus will perform tonight at the Boulevard, 900 George Washington Blvd. The nine- piece band — complete with horn section — mixes soul, funk R&B, rock and blues. Admission is $10 cash at the door. A cash bar will be available. Doors open at 7 p.m., and the show is at 8 p.m. For more information, call 316-258-2789.

Tom Page Trio tonight at the 'Choke

Local band Tom Page Trio will celebrate the release of its latest CD, the second in its "Dust Bowl Demos" series, with a concert and party tonight at The Artichoke, 811 N. Broadway. The party starts at 8 p.m., and the band — which consists of drum, bass and guitar — will perform a stripped-down acoustic set of its original songs. Admission is $5. It's First Friday

The First Friday folks have put together another night of live music in and around the Old Town area tonight. Piano and pop

Piano-pop artist Shelly Fraley will perform tonight at Rock Island Live, 101 N. Rock Island, along with her opening act, former American Idol hopeful Rob Bolin. The show is at 8 p.m., and admission is $7. For more information, call 316-303-9800.

Gillian Welch at The Orpheum

Bluegrass singer Gillian Welch will perform a concert at 7:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Orpheum, 200 N. Broadway, where she and her partner, guitarist Dave Rawlings, will showcase songs from their latest album, "The Harrow & The Harvest."
