Math teacher, disc jockey, marketer, cheerleader — Meeghan Dunleavy has done a lot in her 27 years.

She plans to mine that varied background in her new job with Squid Ink Creative.

"I've kind of been a lot of things," she said. "Hopefully all those experiences will help customers."

Dunleavy moved to Wichita in 2000. She graduated from Kapaun Mount Carmel and then earned a degree in international business and business administration from the University of Kansas.

While there, she taught college algebra classes. Having two teachers as parents helped prepare her, she said.

Since then, she's worked in marketing for BG Products and as a DJ for a pop music station, "just to get more experience in entertainment and promotions." She's also been a cheerleader with the Wichita Thunder, Wild and Wingnuts professional sports teams.

"Dance is one of my big hobbies," she said.

Squid Ink offers graphic design, photography, Web design and other services. Dunleavy said her job is to attract new clients and help existing ones get everything they need to compete in today's economy.

"We want to develop your business and develop our business along with it," she said.

Outside work, Dunleavy likes "anything athletic" and spending time with her fiance.

"I'm recently engaged, so I'm planning that big shebang," she said.
