Chief operating officer, Via Christi Villages

Hunting played a big role in Moyers' move to Wichita. First, the West Virginia native visited Kansas multiple times to hunt with friends. Then a corporate headhunter contacted him about the Via Christ job.

"I'd gotten a good taste of the folks in Kansas and I thought it was a good fit," Moyers said.

Moyers, who started last month, graduated from Marshall University. He has 27 years experience as an administrator in facilities that serve the elderly in his home state and Virginia, most recently as director of operations for Missouri Valley Health Care.

At Via Christi he'll oversee a facility that offers independent, assisted living and skilled nursing care.

"My job will be to assist in the ministries, not only financially but in their ability to provide high-quality services to our customers," he said.

Moyers and his wife, Betsey, have three children: Jeremy, 26, a manufacturing engineer in Colorado; Katelyn, 23, who just graduated from college with a political science degree; and Alex, who is starting her third year of college.

Outside of work, Moyers enjoys hunting, motorcycle touring and playing old-time music on the mandolin.

"I've probably got too many (interests) to be good at any of them," he said.
