Kevin Regan said he looks forward to the Midwest Catholic Family Conference every year.

"I'm a businessman and what this conference does for me is put everything in perspective," said Regan, co-chairman of the conference. "I've been involved for the last 10 or 11 years, and it's strengthened my faith and understanding of the Catholic Church."

The 12th annual conference will host headliners such as NBC "Today Show" correspondent Mike Leonard and Bishop Michael Jackels of the Wichita Diocese.

The conference runs Friday through Sunday at Century II Convention Center.

Regan says the three-day event offers something for everyone.

"All the different topics cover what we deal with in life today," he said.

Registration is required. Regan says that everyone is welcome.

Programs for teens and children include an interactive Theater of the Word production and a vocational panel to answer questions.

Opportunities for daily Mass will accompany presentations by speakers such as Ray Guarendi, a clinical psychologist and radio host who will talk about parenting, marriage and families. More than 70 vendors will exhibit art, books, music and other religious items.
