Save Joyland concert

Proceeds from a rock concert tonight will go toward a group called Restore Hope, which plans to purchase and reopen the closed Joyland Amusement Park at 2801 S. Hillside. The concert, which will be at Gracepoint Church at 9035 W. Central, is at 6 p.m., and doors open at 5. Featured bands will include 6OH!6, Brandon and Blake Ellis, Neighborhood Riot, Our Star's the Sun, Contagious Wednesday and First and Foremost. Tickets are $10 cash at the door.

Bombers and Bombshells

Bombers and Bombshells is the title of a fundraiser for the Museum of World Treasures scheduled for 7 to 11 p.m. today at the museum, 835 E. First St. The event will feature swing music and dancers as well as wine and beer and finger foods provided by local restaurants and caterers.

There also will be silent and live auctions and music by Cool Blue. Tickets are $50 per person, $35 of which is tax deductible. All proceeds will benefit the renovation of the Museum of World Treasures Children's Activity Center. For more information, call 316-263-1311.
