The crime

Sometime between Tuesday, July 12, and Wednesday, July 13, someone stripped the copper wire from an external central air-conditioning unit at Lincoln Street Elementary School, 1210 S. Topeka. The loss and damage exceeded several thousand dollars.

Due to the ongoing thefts of copper wire from air-conditioning units, the Wichita Police Department is asking any citizen that witnesses suspicious activity near any air-conditioning unit to call 911 so law enforcement can investigate.
