Moran adds his opposition to Six's nomination to U.S. court

U.S. Sen. Jerry Moran, R-Kan., said today he will vote against former Kansas Attorney General Steve Six's nomination to the U.S. 10th Circuit Court of Appeals.

"After thoroughly reviewing Mr. Six's qualifications and testimony before the Senate Judiciary Committee, I will not be supporting President Obama's nominee to the 10th Circuit Court of Appeals," Moran said in a statement.

Moran joins fellow Republican Sen. Pat Roberts of Kansas in opposing Six's nomination. Roberts issued his statement earlier in the evening.

The committee will vote Thursday on whether to forward Six's nomination to the full Senate.
