Lingering showers should end this morning in the Wichita metropolitan area, with clouds lingering on what will feel like a cool day.

Highs should only reach the upper 50s to the low 60s under a mostly cloudy sky, forecasters say. Winds will be steady in the upper teens to low 20s, with gusts topping 30 miles an hour.

Winds will shift to the west tonight, easing to the single digits as lows dip to the low 40s.

Temperatures should warm dramatically over the next couple of days under sunny skies, with highs in the 70s on Thursday and the 80s on Friday.
