Kansas State's athletic department and Idol Sports and Entertainment will hold a Thursday morning news conference to announce a Wildcat basketball game, likely against West Virginia, will be held in Intrust Bank Arena next season.
K-State has previously confirmed that a game against West Virginia was likely to take place in Wichita next season. Mountaineers coach Bob Huggins first spread news of the possible matchup during the season on his radio show.
It will be K-State's first game in the year-old arena. There has been one previous college men's game, last December's Tulsa-Wichita State matchup won 82-79 by the Shockers.
Huggins just completed his fourth season at West Virginia after coaching one season at Kansas State, where Martin — his former assistant — took over in 2007.
