Equine rescue group in need of hay

  • Published Friday, April 1, 2011, at 11:09 a.m.

WICHITA — Hope in the Valley Equine Rescue and Sanctuary took in 13 animals on Thursday and is looking for some assistance in feeding them.

The group, based in Valley Center, needs big round bales of prairie hay and big round bales of brome hay. The group is a nonprofit, so donations are tax deductible. It prefers that the hay be delivered.

The group, which is caring for 34 animals, rescues and rehabilitates horses in Sedgwick County and surrounding communities that have been abused, neglected, abandoned or are unwanted.
