An episode of "Extreme Makeover: Home Edition" that was filmed in Wichita last month will air at 7 p.m. April 17 on KAKE, channel 10 in Wichita, the network announced today.

The show and its stars, including host Ty Pennington, were in Wichita in February to build a home for Carl Hall, a former Wichita State University baseball player who was paralyzed in a car accident last summer.

The show, known for its 106-hour house builds for families facing challenges, built the Hall family a ranch-style house at 11026 W. Hollywood Court. Hall, his wife, Stacey, and their four children saw the house — said to include an elevator — for the first time Feb. 25.

Hundreds of volunteers helped build the house. The episode also will include footage from the Hall's vacation to Orlando, where the show sent them as the house was being built. While in Orlando, the Hall family joined in batting practice with the Atlanta Braves and met New York Yankees shortstop Derek Jeter.
