Fire breaks out at Joyland Park
BY HURST LAVIANAThe Wichita Eagle
WICHITA Wichita firefighters have extinguished a fire that broke out tonight at Joyland Park.
Emergency dispatchers said the fire was reported at 7:15 p.m. and was confined to one building. No injuries were reported.
The park at 2801 S. Hillside was closed in 2006, and has often been the target of vandals and burglars.
A fire at the park in April 2009 caused extensive damage to a building in an area of the park that had an Old West theme.
