Wichitas first measurable snow of winter looks to linger through much of the day today, forecasters say. Up to 5 inches is expected to fall before snowfall ends late this afternoon, National Weather Service meteorologist Vanessa Pearce said. Three inches had fallen in west Wichita by 6:30 a.m.
