$25,000 worth of copper wire stolen from Cornejo Materials

The crime

Sometime between Tuesday, Dec. 21, at 5 p.m. and Wednesday, Dec. 22, at 8 a.m., someone cut through the fence to the Cornejo Materials property at 6700 S. Grove. The burglars broke into the main control building. Once inside the control panel, wires were cut and the burglars stripped a large amount of copper wire from the machines. The loss of the copper wire is estimated at $25,000. The damage to the property and machines exceeded $5,000.
