WICHITA — A cash advance store was robbed early Monday afternoon — the second such robbery in only a couple of hours in Wichita, authorities said.
The Advance America business at 1353 S. Webb Road was robbed shortly before 12:30 p.m., a Sedgwick County dispatch supervisor said. The man was armed with a handgun, witnesses told police.
He was a black man in his late 20s, about 6-feet-1 with a large build. He was wearing a black T-shirt under a blue coat and dark brown Dickie pants.
He left the business and walked south on Webb Road.
It was the second cash advance business robbed in east Wichita in little more than an hour, though authorities are not saying whether they are connected.
The Check Into Cash at 6100 E. 21st St. was robbed just after 11:20 a.m.
