HeatlhGrades, an independent health care ratings organization, released a new study on hospital quality today that gives five-star Specialty Excellence Awards to some area hospitals.
Via Christi Hospital on St. Francis and Via Christi Hospital on Harry, which operate under a single license, earned the five-star ranking for critical care, pulmonary care and stroke treatment.
Galichia Heart Hospital earned the five-star ranking for pulmonary care and outstanding patient experience.
Kansas Heart Hospital earned the award for vascular surgery.
Kansas Medical Center in Andover earned it for outstanding patient experience.
