WICHITA — Don Jordan, Kansas Secretary of Social and Rehabilitation Services, will be the featured speaker today at Wichita State University's Hugo Wall Day.
Jordan will discuss the changing and challenging role of public servants at the event, which honors Wall, founder of WSU's School of Urban and Public Affairs.
Jordan's presentation will begin at 1:30 p.m. at the Wichita Marriott Hotel, 9100 E. Corporate Hills. The free event is open to Hugo Wall School alumni and area public and nonprofit administrative professionals.
Following Jordan's presentation, participants may attend afternoon forums on topics such as coordination of services for vulnerable populations; building sustainable communities, and the loss of the fourth estate, focusing on changes in the media.
A reception at 5 p.m. will conclude the day's activities.
