WICHITA — An armed robber burst into the Taco Tico on East Harry late Tuesday night, held a gun to the 16-year-old clerk's head and demanded money.

But he left empty-handed, police said.

The clerk told the robber she didn't have access to the store's money, and he left after making repeated threats. The attempted robbery occurred at 8:30 p.m. at the store at 3257 E. Harry, police said.

The suspect left the area in an older red Pontiac Grand Am, a witness told police. He is a white male in his early 20s, about 5-feet-9 and 165 pounds.

He was wearing a white hooded sweatshirt with the word "adidas" in white lettering, blue jeans and a blue bandanna over half his face.
