WICHITA — A 41-year-old man was stabbed twice early this morning after an argument with a stranger, police said.
The victim was outside his apartment in the 1800 block of North Broadway with his wife shortly before 3 a.m. when they were approached by a stranger who demanded his wallet back from them, police said. The couple did not have his wallet, though, and an argument ensued.
The stranger punched the victim in the face, then pulled out a knife and stabbed him twice. He left the area before police arrived.
The victim was taken to Via Christi Hospital on St. Francis with potentially serious stab wounds, but hospital officials did not release a condition report. His wife was also taken to the hospital for treatment, but her injuries were not disclosed.
