County commissioners to consider Derby-Mulvane plan

WICHITA -- A 20-year area plan for Derby and Mulvane will be considered today by Sedgwick County commissioners.

Staff is recommending that commissioners adopt the Derby-Mulvane Joint Area Plan as an amendment to the Wichita-Sedgwick County comprehensive plan.

Commissioners today also will hear a report from a specialist with the U.S. Census Bureau about the 2010 census in Sedgwick County.

Assistant county manager Ron Holt also will give a monthly report about Intrust Bank Arena.

Commissioners meet starting at 9 a.m. today in their chambers on the third floor of the courthouse. The meeting is open to the public.
