WICHITA -- After enduring a Labor Day weekend filled with sweltering temperatures and blustery winds, Wichitans should get a break in the weather today.
Highs today are expected to reach the low 80s, about 10 degrees cooler than during the weekend. Lows tonight should be in the mid-60s.
The wind also should calm down. Winds out of the east are forecast at 10 mph with gusts to 20 mph.
Forecasters are calling for a good chance of thunderstorms on Wednesday with a high of 80 degrees.
