We, the People of the United States of America, absolutely must take it upon ourselves to reclaim our government and return to the spirit of the Constitution, and do it by whatever means necessary. Do you think anyone in power will do it for us?

For those newly minted deficit hawks, when Bill Clinton left office, our national debt stood at $5.6 trillion. When George W. Bush left office in 2009, the debt was $11.9 trillion.

I'd never seen a real chameleon until Glenn Beck got involved in the political world. He changes colors right in front of your eyes. He and Sarah Palin will say whatever those with money want them to say. Both spread all kinds of rumors about President Obama, then ask you to follow them to return to the country's values.

There are too many American citizens who receive government handouts and then turn around and denounce socialism.

I just received a request for a donation for the Kansas Food Bank. That brought to mind the millions of dollars the candidates spent on the primaries. How much more benefit would that money have brought as donations to the food bank, the Lord's Diner, the Union Rescue Mission or similar charities?

Here's a novel idea: Instead of raising taxes, let's go after the thousands of deadbeats who haven't paid their property taxes.

Being gay is just like being hypocritical. Just because it might "come naturally" to some people doesn't mean it's right.
