The Declaration of Independence is such an amazing document. Read it slowly and carefully. It'll give you chills, especially when you consider the times in which it was written. Then compare it with our government today. Can you say "SOS"?

President Obama said in his speech that it's time to turn the page, and in November that is exactly what the voters are going to do.

The federal government is now targeting the egg companies for their violations. Typical government response — a day late and a dollar short. The government will assess a big fine, then go back to doing nothing until it's time to overreact to the next problem. Incompetence reigns.

The Sedgwick County delinquent real-estate tax list shows that the city of Wichita owes in excess of $153,000 in delinquent taxes. You would think city officials could set a better example of handling financial affairs for their citizens.
