After a long, hot summer, it’s a relief to look ahead to a cool new season. It’s going to be a season of rich colors, textured fabrics and diverse silhouettes, from roomy cocoon sweaters to skinny jeans.

Fall will bring berry colors -- blackberry, boysenberry, raspberry, strawberry and current. Bright hues will add pop to the popular black and charcoal grays.

Most greens are muted, as evident in the military trend, but there will be a few exceptions such as kiwi and true lime.

Other strong trends for the new season will be animal prints, distressed fabrics, plaid for both men and women, tunics and metallics.

Boots are still big, with high heels but also flats. Tall boots are really tall, with some going over the knee.

Bold jewelry will continue to make a statement in a wide assortment of metals and colors.

You’ll find fresh and exciting trends and styles in this special section featuring the best in new fall fashions in Wichita.
