The record: Information about online scams and Internet crimes compiled by the Kansas Attorney General's Office.
Why you'd want it: To learn what to be watchful for and to get tips to avoid being the victim of an Internet crime.
Where you get the record: The state has a website devoted to information about being safe on the Internet as a consumer, child, teenager and parent. Go to www.netsafekansas.com. Then click on the links at the top of the page depending on your interest. The site also lists alerts about new scams.
How much it will cost: The information is free. The toll-free number for the attorney general's office is 1-888-428-8436.
