Local

Cheney: White bass fair using Kastmasters or twistertails cast into surfacing schools. Wipers good trolling near the dam, Walleye Island and Fish Cove or casting into surfacing shad schools. Walleye fair along windy shorelines trolling 3-inch shad- imitating baits. Catfish good drifting frogs, stinkbaits, shrimp and cutbaits lakewide. White perch good on vertical jig or casting small lures tipped with night crawlers.

Council Grove: Catfish good drifting shad over flats. Saugeye fair using crankbaits and plastics along riprap. White bass/wipers fair trolling shad-imitating crankbaits near face of dam and off points. Crappie fair along the dam and off the points at 8-12 foot depths.

El Dorado: White bass/wipers fair to good along windblown shorelines and off mainlake points using shad imitators. Catfish fair using cut bait, fresh shad or livers. Walleye fair trolling crankbaits or casting to windblown structure at dawn and dusk.

Kingman SFL: Catfish good near feeders with cut baits and chicken livers early mornings. Largemouth bass good around brushpiles and rock jetties. Sunfish good on worms. Northern pike good with swimbaits and crankbaits at north end.

Marion: Catfish good in 10-15 feet of water drifting whole shad or prepared bait. Walleye fair with grub and shad imitations off windblown shores or points. White bass good on the flats using sassy shads. Wipers good off points and over flats using curly tailed grubs and crankbaits, wipers mixed with white bass.

McPherson SFL: Catfish still good with stink baits or shrimp near the fish feeders. Largemouth bass good along the dam and near rock jetties early in the morning. Bluegill good using nightcrawlers near any structure.

Kansas

Fall River: No recent report.

Glen Elder: Crappie fair to good using a Kentucky rig with 2 minnows over brushpiles at a variety of locations, especially near fish attractors. Wiper/white bass fair to good along the dam, beach, mouths of creeks and coves and trolling the mouths of creeks or near dam. Smallmouth bass good along rocky areas and structure early and late in the day casting topwater lures like Zara Spooks or crankbaits in 4-8 feet of water. Catfish good in the rivers, around Fisherman's Bridge, the "Honey Hole" and around the stumps in Oak and Carr Creeks chumming soybeans.

Kanopolis: Catfish good using wide variety of baits after chumming on the humps and around brushpiles. White bass good in the main lake, near rockpiles and off windblown points with shad-colored crankbaits. Wipers fair with bucktail jigs, live shad or slab spoons off windblown points.

Kirwin: Walleye fair using crank baits below Knob Hill or using jig-n-crawler on the humps, drop offs and river channel. Wipers/white bass good using crank baits and spinners. Crappie fair using jigs or minnows under a bobber under the lights around the North and South fish attractors.

Lovewell: Reservoir is now open for pleasure boating and fishing activities. Walleye fair trolling crankbaits along the dam and around Walleye and Cedar Points. White bass/wipers good in the outlet and inlet casting roadrunners, slabs, rattletraps and twistertails. Catfish good in the inlet and outlet areas, as well as drifting the flats around the cross and Oak Hill using shrimp and live bullheads and bluegill.

Melvern: Smallmouth bass good using leeches along rocky shorelines. Catfish excellent in the upper end chumming soybeans, then using shad, worms and prepared baits and worms in flooded vegetation. Crappie fair in deep brushpiles. Sauger fair using jig-n-worms on points and flats. White bass fair along rocky points and shorelines using jigs.

Milford: Catfish good with worms, cut baits and shad in the river or on shad along channel ledges. Walleye fair along drop offs 20-30 feet deep trolling spinners and crankbaits. Black bass good near flooded brush using topwaters, jigs or spinnerbaits and along riprap and off deep points using carolina rigs and crankbaits. White bass/wipers good near humps and points on live baits or trolling crankbaits and topwaters chasing shad.

Norton: Wipers good using surface lures along the dam and using jigs and minnows especially at night under the lights. Crappie fair using jigs and jig-n-minnows around the public fishing dock and fish attractors. Catfish fair using shad, shrimp and nightcrawlers in the spillway channel or on trotlines and limb lines at the west end. Largemouth/spotted bass fair using crankbaits and spinnerbaits in Leota Cove and along the dam.

Toronto: No recent report.

Tuttle Creek: Catfish good using a variety of baits along wind swept areas or where creeks enter reservoir. Slow for all other species.

Webster: Wipers/white bass good with jigs or minnows at night under the lights and casting bucktail jigs into the wind at the Lakeview area. Catfish fair with worms in the stilling basin, using green sunfish near west end and using stink bait in Bow Creek.

Wilson: Catfish continuing to be good in chumming areas with worms, liver, shrimp, live baits, soaked grain and dip baits or on setlines and trotlines using live sunfish or minnows. Stripers fair over roadbeds and creek channel intersections with live bait. White bass fair on windblown points and in flooded vegetation with chrome-colored rattletraps or white twister-tailed jigs. Black bass good using topwater baits or small spinnerbaits in backs of coves around vegetation.
