Wichita chiropractor Jayme Gawith moved his practice across the street because "We're going to try to change the world," he said with a laugh.

The move gives him room to add services to treat all aspects of health: "We have a philosophy that there's basically three dimensions to overall health," Gawith said, mentioning physical, biochemical and psychological.

Gawith Chiropractic moved Wednesday from 9390 E. Central, on the northwest corner of Central and Webb Road, to 421 N. Webb Road, on the south side of Central. Gawith also changed the name of the business to Wellness One.

He and chiropractor Craig Baldwin plan to add three chiropractors to their staff by early next year and plan to hire two massage therapists to join the one already on staff.

They've also added hypnotherapist Kelly Omara-Taylor and personal trainer Robbie Ray to the staff; Ray will continue his Fitness With Robbie Ray downtown as well.

Gawith said he nearly tripled his space with the move. Accel Construction was the general contractor for remodeling 3,000 square feet of space; an additional 2,000 square feet will be finished as the new providers build their practices.

He said he'd made the move because he wanted to provide more services and needed additional space to do that.

Gawith plans an open house in September for patients and one in October for businesses, to whom he hopes to offer corporate wellness programs.
