Wichita police were called to the 5700 block of East Central Saturday when a 51-year-old man reported he had been robbed.

The man told police that a 28-year old woman and a man he didn't know came to his house on Tuesday and hit him in the head, causing him to lose consciousness.

"The male apparently had been in the basement for four days with head injuries before he was found and taken to Wesley," said Sgt. Bill Stevens, spokesman for the Wichita Police Department.

The man reported that his vehicle and some personal property were taken from his house, Stevens said.

The Maize Police Department later located his vehicle.
