Les Linn's GTO obsession spans the decades. The Marimba Red '64 in the middle started the muscle car trend, while the '04 version next to it marked the final generation. The rarest of his cars undoubtedly is the 1970 GTO Judge, one of slightly more than 3,000 built that year.

Linn suspects that his 1970 Peppergreen GTO Judge began life as a dealership drag car. He has the correct 400-cubic-inch V-8 engine in one corner of his garage, opting to run an even stronger Pontiac 455 powerplant mated to the 4-speed manual transmission.

Linn's 2004 Torrid Red GTO was built on an Australian Holden chassis and features a Corvette LS1 V-8. He added the Ram Air style hood and Torq-Thrust II wheels for more of a vintage look.

Part of the package that came with GTO Judges was the hood-mounted tachometer; the Ram Air hood scoops are retained, although the actual air intake pieces were missing when Linn bought this car.

Subtlety was not paramount when Pontiac added the "Judge" package to the restyled GTO. Hot yellow-green graphics adorn the fenders and decklid of Linn's 1970 model, which is equipped with correct factory-style spoked steel wheels, without trim rings.
