WICHITA — A former Wichita tennis instructor pleaded no contest today to having sex three times with one of his teenage students.

Sedgwick County District Judge Eric Yost found Barry Fields, 45, guilty on three counts of aggravated indecent liberties with a child.

Fields was charged with having sex three times with a 15-year-old girl who attended the BK Tennis Academy, which Fields ran with his brothers.

Prosecutors say Fields and the girl had sex between May and June 2008.

Fields faces sentencing June 23 before Judge Joseph Bribiesca. Prosecutors are recommending probation.

A no-contest plea does not admit guilt but recognizes the state has sufficient evidence to win a conviction at trial.
