MULVANE — A Sedgwick County sheriff's official today released the name of a man who died Thursday after a traffic accident on K-53 near Mulvane.
The man who died was Tyler J. Brill, 22, of Mulvane, said sheriff's Lt. David Mattingly.
There is no information yet about a possible cause of the crash, Mattingly said.
According to witnesses, the Honda that Brill was driving west on K-53 (119th Street) about 10:45 a.m. Thursday struck the rear of a Fed Ex truck that was stopped on the highway, with a turn signal on, to turn left onto South Oliver.
The truck driver was not injured.
